Premier League Crystal Palace are nearing an agreement with League One Blackpool to sell winger Malcolm Ebiowei this summer transfer window.
The Seasiders suffered a disappointing 2-3 home defeat to Stevenage on the opening day of the season with goals from George Honeyman and Niall Ennis not enough to rescue a point.
Pundits are expecting Blackpool to push on this season in Steve Bruce’s first full campaign at the helm. The experienced boss has had to contend with the loss of Rob Apter, who moved to Championship newcomers Charlton Athletic, but they have been able to bring in several high quality additions.
George Honeyman, Fraser Horsfall, Niall Ennis, Emil Hansson and Bailey Peacock-Farrell are amongst the names to join with another looking likely to make his way to Bloomfield Road.

Blackpool Closing in on Malcolm Ebiowei Signing from Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace’s Malcolm Ebiowei is set to be the next player through the door for Steve Bruce, according to Alan Nixon. The deal was initially expected to be a loan, but later moved to a permanent deal. Previous experiences from the forward made a temporary switch less appealing, but Blackpool showed faith in pursuing a full time move.
The 21-year-old has previously been on the books of Oxford United, RWDM, Hull City, Derby County, Rangers, Arsenal and Chelsea. The youngster has struggled for game time, with back-to-back difficult loans knocking his confidence. He does still have 32 Championship appearances to his name as well as three in the Premier League.
The Crystal Palace man will likely be hoping to settle into a more stable environment to continue his development going forward.

Blackpool’s Big League One Season Ahead
The current League One roster looks to be far more competitive than previous campaigns. Whilst there are sides much stronger than others, there is no clear favourite. Blackpool will be hoping to be one of the sides in and amongst the promotion spots come the end of the season. However, they will need to tighten up some defensive issues that saw them concede three in the opening fixture.
